Vitebsk hosted participants of the "Victory Without Borders" motorcycle and car rally
Bikers and motorists have already visited more than 50 cities, covering thousands of kilometers. They were in Vitebsk on June 17, and then Minsk, Baranovichi, and Brest are planned – the final city of the route. Here, participants will lay flowers and wreaths at the Brest Fortress, followed by a concert in memory of all those who fell and endured during the war.
The main goal of the project is to unite the brotherly peoples of the CIS through its participants, preserve friendship and strengthen ties between them, perpetuate the memory of soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War, and foster love and respect for history among youth.
During the rally, participants visit battle sites, military graves, and museums, hold memorial evenings, thematic exhibitions, and concerts (a special brigade has been created for this purpose). Meetings with veterans are also held.
Elena Prokudina, Chairperson of the International Coordination Council of the rally, came up with the idea of creating a documentary film based on the footage shot along the entire route of the motorcycle and car rally. According to her, 5 film crews and journalists from the Pro-Studio production center are traveling with them. Their task is to film not only the participants of the rally but also a film about veterans, museums, and monuments, the history of the regions, and to conduct interviews with volunteers and young people about their vision of the present, past, and future.
The "Victory Without Borders" rally started on May 7-8 in Dushanbe (Tajikistan) and Tashkent (Uzbekistan). The event took place in three different directions – southern, northern, and western. In Moscow on June 9-10, the first two merged into one column and set off along the planned route. In Volokolamsk, Russia, they were met by participants from the western direction. The rally brought together people from post-Soviet countries. The entire route will take 48 days to complete. The project was created on the initiative of the public association "Sотечественник" (Compatriot) of the South Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan, "Auto-
