Vitebsk broiler poultry farm will increase compound feed production

Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory is preparing to launch a new feed production workshop at full capacity.

Approximately 384.5 billion rubles of own and borrowed funds have been invested in its construction. Although the new facility is called a workshop, in terms of scale, it is more like a full-fledged plant – an eight-story production building, an elevator, grain and meal storage facilities, a finished product warehouse, and equipped areas for receiving raw materials from road and rail transport.

–  The workshop has been operating in test mode since the beginning of the year, during which time about 8 thousand tons of feed have been produced. After the completion of construction work, specialists began commissioning and equipment setup. The workshop will start operating at full capacity soon – it will produce up to 30 tons of feed per hour, – says Sergey Yanchenko, Deputy General Director for Technical Issues.

Ultimately, this will allow the enterprise to provide its poultry with its own feed (the average daily consumption is about 400-450 tons), which will significantly reduce financial costs and positively affect the cost of production, as well as its quality.

Modern imported equipment allows for the control and adjustment of the composition of nutrient mixtures, as well as their production in various fractions – from loose feed to pellets.

– The line can be programmed for any conditions and produce different types of feed: not only for poultry, but also for cattle, – explains Andrey Chechko, Master of the Production Section. Together with the control panel operator Alexander Sukharev, under the guidance of a representative of the equipment supplier company, they are debugging the extrusion process.

The new production facility will employ staff from the existing feed workshop at Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory – over 50 people. Upon reaching the planned capacity, the staff of the new unit may increase to 80 jobs.
