Vitebsk private company, together with Indian investors, will produce drugs against oncological diseases

Витебская частная компания совместно с индийскими инвесторами будет выпускать лекарства против онкозаболеваний

Vitebsk LLC SP "VitVar" plans to organize the production of generic drugs for the treatment of oncological diseases together with investors from India. The new CJSC "Nativita" has been registered in Beshenkovichi at the location of the main production site.

According to the director of the construction enterprise, Valery Baranovsky, the facility is currently being designed, and its commissioning is scheduled for the first half of 2016. The investment volume at the initial stage will be at least 10 million dollars. The project envisages the organization of a full-cycle drug production in accordance with the requirements of international GMP quality standards, with equipment to be provided by Indian founders. The products are planned to be supplied to the domestic market, as well as to the countries of the Customs Union.

As a result of the project implementation, at least 76 jobs should be created, and the payback period for investment investments will be 3.5 years. A two-story building with an area of 4.4 thousand sq. m, which previously housed a reinforced concrete structures workshop of one of the district enterprises, is being reconstructed to accommodate production facilities.

It should be added that for the Belarusian-Polish joint venture "VitVar" this is not the first experience of cooperation with foreign partners in creating pharmaceutical production facilities. On the same site in Beshenkovichi, the Vitebsk company, in cooperation with Lithuanian investors, created the closed joint stock company "AconitPharma" for the production of homeopathic medicinal preparations. By the way, it was for this project that the investor tandem was gratuitously transferred three buildings of communal property that had been idle since 2004. In addition, in the regional center, "VitVar" together with Israeli partners registered the "Center for Family Health "Bina", which will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility using modern reproductive technologies.
