The Vitebsk Diocese has begun the arrangement of holy springs

The Vitebsk Diocese has begun to arrange holy springs, Archpriest Alexander (Sirotkin), Chairman of the Commission of the Vitebsk Diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church for Interaction with the Vitebsk Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, told the board of the Vitebsk Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection today, BELTA correspondent reports. There are about 30 springs on the territory of the diocese, which, according to believers, have healing properties. Some of them have been known for centuries far beyond the diocese. For example, the fame of the power of the spring, located near Lake Losvido, extends to the Russian borders - believers from the neighboring state come for healing water. However, not all holy springs are in good condition. About a dozen have been recently improved. Here you can not only collect and drink water, but also undergo purification - bathing facilities have been built near the springs. The diocese intends to continue its work on the arrangement and restoration of holy springs. -0-
