Vitebsk Philharmonic to Dedicate September to Children and Romantics
On September 9, the cycle of classical music programs for toddlers and their parents, "Lyalya the Doll's Fairy Tales," will begin. It is a conceptual continuation of the cycle for expectant mothers, "To Weave a Soul from Notes." Young viewers will have the opportunity to hear the timbres of various instruments, play simple percussion and melodic instruments, and sing. The first fairy tale will feature music by Oginski, Mozart, and Beethoven.
By the way, the new season of the cycle for expectant mothers starts on September 23 with the concert "Awaiting a Miracle" in the small hall of the philharmonic, to fill the time before the baby's birth with tenderness, love, and music. On September 16 and 30, the philharmonic will present a musical and game program for children, "A Note from Around the World." Children will go on a round-the-world journey: they will learn languages and traditions, and get acquainted with motifs characteristic of different countries. Their companions will be virtuoso violinist Vladislav Mitsenko, the cheerful and lyrical dulcimer player Tatyana Movlya, as well as Tatyana Savitskaya, familiar to young viewers from many fairy tales. And two pop concerts on September 15 and 28 will be dedicated to the most beautiful feeling – love.
The program "Love Will Find You" includes songs from the repertoire of Polina Gagarina, Ani Lorak, Tina Karol, and others, performed by vocalists and instrumentalists of the philharmonic. And the philharmonic soloist Tatyana Movlya will present a call-to-action program: "Burn with Hearts, Create with Love." The pieces offered by the dulcimer player to the listeners elevate one above the hustle and bustle and fill with love. The program is built not only on Belarusian repertoire characteristic of the dulcimer ("Why Shouldn't I Sing...", "Cornflower Sky"). The highlight of the concert is precisely that you can hear pieces that are not usually performed on this instrument – M. Jackson's "Earth Song," G. Yemelyanov's "Spanish Guitar," M. Legrand's "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg."
Some compositions will be complemented by the wonderful vocals of Elena Grakova and Alena Papko, and the violin of Vladislav Mitsenko.
The official opening of the concert season at the Philharmonic will traditionally take place on October 1 - on International Music Day.
