The Vitebsk Philharmonic invites citizens to a charity concert on the International Day of Families

May 14, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic will hold a charity concert on May 15 dedicated to the International Day of Families, the cultural institution informed a BELTA correspondent. At the concert, artists and ensembles of the philharmonic will perform folk songs, compositions from the Soviet period, works by contemporary composers, as well as scenes from children's programs of the XXII concert season. The program is designed to be interesting for all family members – children, parents, their grandparents, the philharmonic emphasized. Numerous events dedicated to this date have been organized in all regions of the oblast, the Department of Ideological Work of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee noted. Thus, on May 14, the second stage of the city competition "Mom, Dad, I am a Healthy Family!" is being held in Novopolotsk. Thematic round tables and concerts with the invitation of parents are held in educational institutions. Primary organizations of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the BRSM have also prepared their events for the Day of Families. The International Day of Families (May 15) was established by the UN General Assembly in 1993. The establishment of this day is a recognition of the special role of the family, an aspiration of the world community to draw universal attention to its problems. The family, as the basic element of society, has been and remains the keeper of human values, culture and historical continuity of generations, a factor of stability and development. -0-
