Vitebsk and Smolensk regions have signed an agreement on the development of innovative activities in the social protection system
Representatives of the social protection sector of the Vitebsk and Smolensk regions plan to establish an international school for organizing innovative activities in the social protection system.
This decision was made during the visit of a delegation from the Vitebsk region to the Smolensk region. Directors of psycho-neurological boarding schools from the Vitebsk region visited the rehabilitation center for children and adolescents with disabilities "Vishenki", where they participated in a methodological gathering on working with children and adults with mental disorders.
– An agreement has been reached with the Department of Social Development of the Smolensk Region on forming a cooperation program that includes events both in the Vitebsk region and in the neighboring region. We will hold methodological associations, forums, conferences, and round tables in an international format. At the innovative school, we will study the tested new methods and technologies of the Smolensk region and share our experience, – said Vera Astapenko, Head of the Department of Social Support for the Population and Residential Institutions of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Labor, Employment, and Social Protection Committee.
