"Vitebsk Ski Track" to gather over 600 athletes in Horadok
The sports festival for professionals and amateurs will begin at 11:00 AM. At the ski-roller track in Gorodok, participants will compete in relays, featuring representatives of regional, district, and city authorities, races among schoolchildren, vocational school students, and university students, as well as amateur athletes from enterprises and organizations of the region. "Any resident of the region can take part in our traditional winter sports festival. This year, 'Vitebsk Ski Track' will gather over 600 participants, according to preliminary applications. About 60 teams will be represented in the competitions. The festival is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the northern region," the Regional Executive Committee noted.
The festival is not limited to ski competitions. Here, you can play checkers and chess, test your strength in arm wrestling, kettlebell lifting, and tug-of-war, and check your accuracy and precision in darts. Various entertainment contests, quizzes, and game programs will be organized for guests and participants of "Vitebsk Ski Track."
Visitors do not need to worry about bringing a full set of sports equipment and a backpack with provisions. Skis can be rented on-site, and any snacks can be purchased at the trade stalls. A field military kitchen will also be operating at the festival, so those wishing to recharge their energy can enjoy hot soldier's porridge, especially delicious in the fresh air.
The organizers have also taken care of transport to Gorodok. The bus schedule has been adjusted to ensure everyone can get there on time. Morning routes from the regional center to Gorodok will proceed directly to the ski-roller track. Those arriving by train can then take a city bus to the festival venue. The bus back to Vitebsk will depart at 3:40 PM, also from the ski-roller track.
