Vitebsk police promise to take intoxicated citizens home during the festival
July 1, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Vitebsk police promise to take intoxicated citizens home during the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival, reported today at a press conference by the head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Naidenko, BELTA correspondent reports.
The head of the Internal Affairs Directorate gave his subordinates a single instruction: "There is no need to be rude or impolite. You should communicate normally, as one person to another, and then everything will be fine. And an intoxicated citizen should be clearly explained the unacceptability of his behavior and offered help, even to drive him home."
The ban on drinking beer in public places, let alone alcohol, will also be in effect during the festival. In the 500-meter zone around venues for mass entertainment events, the sale of alcoholic beverages for takeaway will be restricted two hours before their start and during their holding. At the same time, it will be possible to have a glass of beer or wine in outdoor cafes and restaurants. According to Alexander Naidenko, by order of the city executive committee, all public catering establishments will switch to round-the-clock operation during the festival. -0-
