Certificates of inclusion in the regional Honor Board and the Vitebsk Honor Board were awarded in the regional center

Vitebsk region made a significant headway in 2017 for a step forward in economic development. This was stated by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, at the ceremony honoring the winners of the 2017 competition, who were inducted onto the Vitebsk Regional Honor Board and the Vitebsk City Honor Board.

"In 2017, the region created a serious foundation to take a significant step forward in economic development this year," said Nikolai Sherstnev. The growth rate of gross regional product increased, the efficiency of industrial organizations improved, and all sectors sold products and services profitably. Modernization, re-equipment of production facilities, and work on creating highly efficient enterprises continue. The second stage of modernization of the Orsha Linen Mill has been completed, and the reconstruction of the Vitebsk Fur Factory, the technical re-equipment of Naftan and Polotsk-Steklovolokno enterprises, and enterprises of the food industry are underway.

Nikolai Sherstnev emphasized that there are many worthy and deserving people and teams in the region. However, those who, despite difficulties, managed to achieve convincing results in their work were named the best. On behalf of the regional executive committee, the head of the region expressed gratitude to all teams that distinguished themselves by efficiency, innovation, and stability in 2017. He addressed special words of appreciation to the leaders who organized, united, and led their teams to success.

For achieving the best indicators in socio-economic development and saving fuel, energy, and material resources in 2017, the Postavy Dairy Plant and the Vitebsk Radio Components Plant were inducted onto the Vitebsk Regional Honor Board.
