Vitebsk region is ready for the sowing campaign - Leonid Anfimov
Vitebsk region is ready for the sowing campaign.
This was stated to journalists by the Chairman of the State Control Committee,
Leonid Anfimov, who has been inspecting farms in the Vitebsk region for the second
day. The conversation with journalists took place at OJSC "Novye Goryany"
in the Polotsk district. In addition, Leonid Anfimov's route includes agricultural
enterprises in Gorodok, Dokshitsy, Glubokoye and other districts.
"I would like to emphasize that compared to last year, the situation is
better. For example, the provision of mineral fertilizers is 2 times
higher than it was on the eve of sowing last season. There are no problems with
fuel. And I ask in every farm whether the machine operators are working, as they
say, on the go. No. There is a fuel reserve. This is very important. People are
confident that the sowing will not be disrupted due to resource problems. The
work will not depend on whether there is fuel, or whether there are enough
fertilizers. Everyone will work clearly and harmoniously," said the
chairman of the control department.
He noted that the final results of the monitoring will be
summarized later. "I can draw one conclusion - the Vitebsk region is largely
ready for sowing today," stated Leonid Anfimov. In April, working groups,
which include representatives of state control, prosecutors, the Ministry of
Internal Affairs and other departments, conduct monitoring in farms, study the
situation in the agro-industrial complex. "In the Vitebsk region, I saw that
elementary order has been established in the machine yards and farms. Probably,
the meeting with the President on the problems of the agro-industrial complex
gave an impetus to this. Localities knew that working groups would come to
them. But it is necessary that this is in the blood of the leader. So that they
do not wait for the commission to arrive, but always maintain agricultural
objects in proper condition," summarized the Chairman of the State
Control Committee.
According to operational information as of the morning of April
12, farms in four districts of the Vitebsk region have begun the selective sowing
of early spring grain crops: Chashniksky, Postavsky, Gluboksky and
Verkhnedvinsky.
