Vitebsk region and the province of Bergamo intend to implement projects in energy and establish air communication

This was announced in an interview with a BELTA correspondent by the General Director of the province, Francesco Bari, after signing a memorandum of intent on cooperation. The document was signed within the framework of the international investment forum held today in the regional center. "We are very interested in developing trade and economic cooperation and interaction in the tourism sector, which the document signed today should contribute to," emphasized Francesco Bari. Italian businessmen are ready to establish partnerships and implement investment projects in the energy sector, and they are also interested in waste processing and woodworking. Another important step in strengthening business contacts between businessmen of the Italian and Belarusian regions could be the establishment of air communication between Bergamo and Vitebsk. The project for the development of the airport in Vitebsk and the establishment of a regular air route has interested Italian businessmen, noted Francesco Bari. The Italian side invited a delegation from the Vitebsk region to visit the province of Bergamo in May 2009 for a detailed discussion of a number of joint projects, including in the field of air transportation development, he added. -0-
