Vitebsk region leads in the use of local fuels
Boilers with mechanized loading are being introduced, and the annual planned replacement of heating networks is at least 4% of the total length, with the predominant use of pre-insulated pipes.
Unlike other regions of Belarus, water supply and sewerage services provided to the population are no longer subsidized from the budget of the Vitebsk region.
The target for commissioning residential areas after major repairs has been met with an increase of 23 thousand sq. m compared to the previous year, which is on par with the Gomel region, but higher than in other regions. In 2017, there were five loss-making organizations, and now there are two. Salaries have increased by 17%.
– We have managed to cope with most of the measures defined by the head of state. The planned and calculated prices set by the government have been met for all types of activities. Standards stipulated by regulatory requirements are being ensured. The sustainable development of the region's housing and communal services allowed us to work through 2018 without disruptions in heat and water supply. Approximately 4 million rubles of budget funds saved as a result of the creation of the Vitebsk Regional Water Utility have been directed towards the implementation of other projects, including the "Clean Water" program (1 million rubles). This has helped to provide the population with quality water supply at 90.5% and to fulfill the target of the State Program "Comfortable Housing and a Favorable Environment" for 2016-2020. Last year, 4835 citizens received non-cash housing subsidies to compensate for part of the costs of paying for housing and communal services in the amount of 169 thousand rubles, – stated Yuri Dyadyolo, Head of the Main Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Regional Executive Committee, Deputy of the Regional Council of Deputies.
In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, the urban settlements of Ezerishche in Gorodok district and Bolbasovo in Orsha district (where an iron removal station has also been built) have been brought into exemplary order. For the regional "Dazhynki-2018" in Verkhnedvinsk, 15 houses were repaired, including the replacement of utility networks and the reconstruction and modernization of yard areas.

The reorganization of the Vitebsk City Water Utility must be completed in the first half of the year, and 40 iron removal stations are to be built by the end of 2019. Two stations have already been commissioned in the agro-towns of Parafyanovo and Krulewshchina in Dokshitsy district.
The construction of the Vitebsk waste sorting plant is on schedule. Equipment delivery will begin in April of the current year, and the facility is expected to be launched in April of next year.
Project and estimate documentation for the major overhaul of 16 houses is ready for the regional "Dazhynki" to be held in Braslav district.
