Vitebsk region will allocate Br35 billion for the modernization of grain drying complexes in 2010.
August 26, Sennensky district / Diana Kurilo BELTA /. Farms of the Vitebsk region will be provided with mobile grain drying complexes for the 2010 harvest, the chairman of the Vitebsk regional executive committee, Alexander Kosinets, told reporters today.
The production of such complexes has been established by the Novopolotsk plant "Izmeritel" and the Lepel Mechanical Plant. The first units are already undergoing testing on farms. The productivity of the complexes reaches 150 tons of grain per day. Their cost is Br250 million, while stationary complexes cost about Br1.5 billion. It is expected that about Br35 billion will be allocated for the modernization of grain dryers next year.
As Alexander Kosinets noted, the problem of grain drying became acute during the current harvest due to its difficult weather conditions. Of the 460 dryers, 60% are completely worn out. -0-
