Vitebsk region plans to acquire a second mobile mini-polyclinic
In 2016, the Vitebsk region intends to acquire a second mobile medical complex for early disease detection. The plans of the medical professionals were announced by Yuri Derkach, Head of the Healthcare Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
The Vitebsk region intends to expand the range of specialized high-tech care in the districts through mobile medical complexes. The first mini-polyclinic on wheels in Belarus, specializing in breast cancer screening, appeared in the region in the spring of 2015. The mobile mammology center traveled through 9 districts, is currently operating in Postavy, and will then move to the Lithuanian border area in Lyntupy. Here, in addition to examining Belarusian women, it is planned to provide paid services to residents of neighboring Lithuania. Then, the mobile mini-polyclinic on wheels will be expected in Braslav and, accordingly, in the Latvian border area, as well as on the border with Russia in Liozno.
"First of all, we examine our women. Moreover, work is organized in two or three shifts at the field sites to examine the maximum number of residents in the districts," emphasized the head of the department. "But at the same time, we have the opportunity to conduct examinations for residents of neighboring countries on a paid basis and thus earn from the export of services. Through
"With this money, we plan to acquire another mobile medical complex this year." Speaking about the effectiveness of the current complex, which, incidentally, remains the only one in the republic, Yuri Derkach emphasized that with its help, about 650 women with oncological pathologies were identified."All these women have been registered, their condition is monitored, and treatment aimed at prevention is being carried out. Several dozen cases of early-stage cancer have been detected. These patients have successfully undergone treatment," stated the head of the department. Yuri Derkach cited another figure - more than 500 cases of breast cancer are detected annually in the region. If all of them are diagnosed at early stages, it will help significantly improve women's health, because therapy at the beginning of the disease is much more effective. The mobile medical complex of the Vitebsk Regional Diagnostic Center is equipped with modern equipment, which is housed in a van based on a MAZ chassis. The total cost of such a mobile clinic (developed by the Belarusian scientific and production firm "Adani") is over Br4 billion, which was allocated from the regional budget. The van contains several rooms: an oncologist's workstation, ultrasound diagnostics rooms, mammography, general and biochemical laboratories, a gynecology room, and a registrar's workstation. Specialists of the mobile clinic have access to a unified database.
