Vitebsk region plans to earn at least Br1 billion from the republican subbotnik.

April 8, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The Vitebsk region plans to earn at least Br1 billion during the republican subbotnik. This was announced today by Svyatoslav Zarovsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Economics Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, during a meeting of the working group on holding the subbotnik, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. It is planned that over 450,000 residents of the Vitebsk region will take part in the event. Employees of industrial enterprises will mostly work at their workplaces on this day. Employees of organizations and institutions will be engaged in landscaping parks, streets, squares, military graves, memorial complexes, places of military glory, and other facilities. Some people are planned to be sent to agricultural work to help rural workers, who have already started the busy sowing season. A complete list of facilities that will require work on April 11 in each city and district of the region will be formed in the coming days. However, it is already known that the staff of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, for example, will be involved in the construction of the new Medtsentr microdistrict. Half of the funds earned during the republican subbotnik will remain in the region and will be used for the repair, reconstruction, restoration, and landscaping of the region's memorial complexes, places of military glory, graves of soldiers and partisans of the Great Patriotic War, as well as for preparing suburban health camps for the summer season and improving agro-towns. The other half, transferred to the Ministry of Finance, will be directed to finance measures for the development of existing and creation of additional infrastructure of agro-towns. -0-
