Vitebsk region supplies more than half of the exports to Russia
The volume of foreign trade in goods with the Russian Federation in the Vitebsk region has increased 9.1 times over the past 15 years.
In January-October 2015, according to the main statistical department of the region, it reached 3 billion dollars. Russia accounted for 52.8% of the total export volume and 80.7% of imports, which once again confirms the promising nature of cooperation with the neighboring country.
Interregional ties, which are dynamically developing, make a significant contribution to the expansion of trade turnover. In January-October, the Pridvinye region carried out export-import operations with 74 out of 83 regions of the Russian Federation. By the way, the closest cooperation has been established with the Ural, Central, and Volga Federal Districts, whose share in the total trade turnover is over 90%.
