Vitebsk region has fulfilled the state order for grain delivery

Vitebsk region has fulfilled the plan for grain delivery to the state - as of today, 125.1 thousand tons of grain have been shipped (100.1% of the target), the BELTA correspondent was informed at the resources and trade department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food's grain products department. This is the third region after Mogilev and Gomel regions to cope with the state grain order. In total, 973 thousand tons of grain have been received for republican needs, which is 98.3% of the plan. This includes 532.6 thousand tons of wheat, which is 10.5% more than planned, specialists noted. As for other regions, the farms of the Grodno region are closest to fulfilling the state order, having already delivered 180.9 thousand tons of grain, which is 97.8% of the plan. The state order here is 185 thousand tons. There is high-quality grain in this region, and farms are preparing it for shipment to elevators. Agricultural organizations of the Minsk region have shipped 216.6 thousand tons (96.3%). They need to deliver another 9.4 thousand tons to procurement points in total. Farms in the Brest region have shipped 158.6 thousand tons of grain, which allowed them to fulfill their state order by 96.1%. Another 6.4 thousand tons of grain need to be delivered. According to specialists' calculations, the state order will be fulfilled by the regions in the coming days. Currently, the plan for rye and other crops deliveries remains to be closed. It is necessary to ship another 37.9 thousand tons and 30 thousand tons, respectively. Farms are currently processing grain to the required conditions. The best batches are selected based on quality parameters. In the near future, all attention will be paid to the supply of grain crops. Farmers have already started harvesting buckwheat and millet. Of the planned 34 thousand hectares of buckwheat, 5.5 thousand hectares have been harvested. With a yield of 16 centners per hectare, 6 thousand tons of grain have been threshed. After cleaning and processing the grain, it will be delivered to procurement points. -0-
