Vitebsk region has completed the stocking of fruit and vegetable products for the inter-seasonal period

The Vitebsk region has completed the laying of fruit and vegetable products for the off-season period, the deputy head of the trade and services department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexey Shchebletsov, told a BELTA correspondent. To fully meet the population's needs for fruit and vegetable products during the off-season period, 10.5 thousand tons of potatoes, 5.6 thousand tons of cabbage, 1.4 thousand tons of beets, 2.1 thousand tons of onions, 1.6 thousand tons of carrots, as well as 1.4 thousand tons of apples and pears (2.6 times more than last year) have been laid in the region's stabilization funds this autumn. The main part of the products is stored in the warehouses of agricultural organizations "Olgovskoye", "Rudakovo", "Teplichny", "Vesna-Energo". It is also stored in warehouses managed by trade enterprises and the Vitebsk Regional Union of Consumer Societies. It is planned to start using the stored vegetables and fruits from November 15. Control will be established over the use of fruit and vegetable products. -0-
