The Vitebsk Regional Election Commission has been formed with 13 members
18 people were nominated for the commission, and after discussing the candidacies and voting individually for each applicant, 13 people were approved. These are representatives of political parties, public associations, labor collectives, and individuals delegated to the commission by collecting signatures.
"Forces such as the Communist Party of Belarus, the Republican Party of Labor and Justice, the largest public associations - "Belaya Rus" and the BRSM, trade unions, the veteran organization, as well as representatives of citizens and labor collectives are represented. We carefully considered all candidacies. Worthy people have been included in the commission. Some of them already have experience working in the commission, others will participate for the first time. But all of them have experience participating in election campaigns - some of the newcomers worked in the territorial commission, some were observers. So they all know the Electoral Code," commented Vladimir Terentyev, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, to journalists on the results of the meeting.
The first meeting of the regional territorial election commission will take place on November 24. "The constituencies will be approved and the leadership will be elected - the chairman, deputy, and secretary of the regional election commission," explained Vladimir Terentyev.
