Vitebsk schoolgirl won the republican financial literacy Olympiad

The final round of the competition took place on December 16 in Minsk, at the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus. Vitebsk region was represented by the leaders of the regional stage – Ninel Tikhonova, Alexey Katsura, and Maria Sadovnikova. A total of 21 schoolchildren from different regions of the country came to the capital to compete for the main prize.

To be eligible for victory, the participants had to know what factoring is, how many times denomination had been carried out in Belarus, which deposit an investor should choose, and much more, which even adults do not always fully understand. But the boys and girls, who had successfully completed the tasks of the previous rounds of the Olympiad by that time, did not falter in the final either.

And the best results were demonstrated by Ninel Tikhonova, a student of Vitebsk Secondary School No. 14. Dmitry Kalechits, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank, presented the winner not only with a diploma and a cup, but also with a valuable prize – a tablet.

Second and third places

 in the republican financial literacy Olympiad were taken by schoolchildren from Baranovichi and Volozhin, respectively.
