The Vitebsk customs has transferred Br118 billion to the national budget since the beginning of the year, the head of the customs, Gennady Puchkov, told a BELTA correspondent. The realization and development of export potential, the creation of the most favored nation regime for domestic export producers and foreign economic activity (FEA) participants is one of the priorities of the Vitebsk customs. To fulfill these tasks, modern information technologies have been introduced in the customs, including preliminary information and electronic declaration. Today, the Vitebsk customs processes more than 50% of export deliveries of goods electronically, and by the end of the year, it is planned to increase this figure to 100%. To improve the awareness of citizens and foreign economic activity participants about the rules of working with customs, an electronic "Automated Information Window" has been introduced in the administrative building of the Vitebsk customs and at the "Vitebsk-Central" customs clearance point. In addition, electronic monitoring of customs clearance queues has been equipped in Vitebsk and Orsha. This allows FEA participants to track the processing of customs documents via the Internet. The customs regularly holds thematic seminars with FEA participants, and also studies public opinion to analyze the current situation and improve its activities, while the most successful proposals from business entities are implemented in practice. Great attention is paid to personnel work in the customs, including the selection of new employees, as well as the realization of the potential and career growth of specialists hired. One of the elements of this work is the ritual of initiation into customs officers, which will take place on September 18, on the eve of Customs Officer's Day. -0-
