Vitebsk CHPP became the 3rd enterprise in the region to receive an international quality certificate
As explained by the Director of the Vitebsk Center for Standardization, Metrology and Certification, Pavel Yakovlev, the state standard STB ISO 9001-2015 was introduced in Belarus last year. To date, only 22 entities in our country have received it, including such well-known ones as the construction of the nuclear power plant and the National Academy of Sciences.
– The STB ISO 9001 certificate under the new 2015 version is a guarantee of high quality. Its holders are subject to strict requirements. In particular, the enterprise must implement risk-oriented management, modern technologies, innovations, and demonstrate leadership of management and high competence of personnel. Vitebsk CHP Plant meets all these requirements, – noted Pavel Yakovlev.
The branch provides heat and electricity to industrial enterprises in the western part of Vitebsk, as well as hot water to more than a third of the housing stock of the regional center. Built in 1954, the station has been and remains a reliable supplier of services for over 60 years, which directly reflect the state of the economy, the level and quality of life of the city's residents.
– Vitebsk CHP Plant has come a long way in improving the process of electricity and heat energy production. In the early years, it operated on peat, then on fuel oil, and today it operates on natural gas. The station carries out timely equipment repairs and replacement of worn-out components and units. The main goals of the branch's activities are the reliable, high-quality, safe, and economically efficient operation of the production of electricity and heat energy generation and transmission to consumers. And the team is successfully coping with this, – said the Director of Vitebsk CHP Plant, Alexander Stankovsky.
In confirmation of the high qualifications and professionalism of the personnel and the reliability of the equipment operation, in 2010, a quality management system for the production and transmission of thermal and electrical energy (QMS) was implemented at the plant, developed in accordance with
requirements of the STB ISO 9001-2009 standard.Its effectiveness and performance have been repeatedly confirmed by the inspection control conducted by CSMS, was re-confirmed in 2013 and certified by the relevant document. And last year, Vitebsk CHPP successfully passed the certification audit for compliance with the new version of the State Standard.
The certificate presentation took place in the assembly hall of the enterprise, in a solemn atmosphere. After all, such recognition of the station's quality of work is the result of the activities of the entire team, which, as Alexander Stankovsky assured, will continue to work conscientiously for the benefit of people.
By the way, in addition to Vitebsk CHPP, OJSC "Krasny Oktyabr" and the Polish-Belarusian enterprise "Aplications", which is engaged in the production of pressure and temperature converters, which, in particular, supplies to this power plant, received such a quality certificate in the region.
