Vitebskavtodor plans to spend more than Br200 billion on the development of the region's road infrastructure in 2011.

January 12, Vitebsk / Sergey Kotovets - BELTA /. Republican Unitary Enterprise (RUE) "Vitebskavtodor" plans to carry out work on the maintenance, repair and construction of republican roads in the Vitebsk region in 2011 for a total amount of over Br200 billion, which is 19% more than the funding volume in 2010, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent. Of the total funding, about 40% of the funds are allocated for the construction of new facilities and reconstruction. One of the main construction projects for "Vitebskavtodor" remains the ring road around the regional center, the absence of which is a serious transport problem for the city. This year, it is planned to complete the construction of the Dymanovo - Starinki section with a length of 6.2 km on the southwestern bypass, as well as to continue work on the Starinki - Novka section (6 km). This is the last section of the Vitebsk southwestern bypass, which is planned to be built in 2012. The final stage of the ring road construction will be the "Vitebsk Northwestern Bypass" project. Work is currently underway to justify the project's investments. "Vitebskavtodor" will continue the reconstruction of the R-21 Vitebsk - Russian Federation border (Liozno) highway. In 2011, the enterprise intends to commission a 5.6 km section of the highway after reconstruction, and continue the reconstruction of the next section with a length of almost 6 km. It is also planned to commission a kilometer section of this road directly adjacent to the border, where comfortable conditions for road users will be created, including an increased number of traffic lanes, the organization of three parking lots, landscaping of the territory, and improvement of the service infrastructure. Capital and current repairs are planned to be carried out on sections of republican roads with a total length of almost 314 km, as well as to repair, including capital repairs, about 520 linear meters of bridges. Also, within the framework of the state program for the development of rural areas, asphalt concrete pavement will be laid instead of gravel on a 6.2 km section of the Ushachi-Lepel road. In 2010, "Vitebskavtodor" performed work for a total amount of about Br169 billion, including commissioning 11.6 km of roads after reconstruction, capital and current repairs were carried out on sections with a total length of over 310 km of roads and almost 326 linear meters of bridges. -0-
