Vitebskavtodor breathed new life into a former 19th-century post station in the Horadok district

October 21, Vitebsk / Sergei Kochetov - BELTA /. Tourists and drivers of transit transport will be able to have a snack in the station house, relax in the coachmen's outbuilding, and park their cars in the carriage house at the former 19th-century post station in the Gorodok district, which RUP "Vitebskavtodor" has transformed into a roadside service facility. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent at the enterprise. The project, costing about Br1.7 billion, involved the reconstruction of three buildings of the former post station (station house, outbuilding, and carriage house) located in the village of Kuzmino on the 25th kilometer of the Yezeryshche (Russian border) - Vitebsk - Gomel - Ukraine border highway. All buildings are architectural monuments of the first half of the 19th century, built around 1846. The station house has been converted into a cafe with a 16-seat banquet hall and a mini-bar. The former coachmen's outbuilding has been transformed into a motel with 5 rooms, including single and double rooms. In addition, the roadside service facility has organized a guest parking lot for cars with 6 parking spaces and a guarded parking lot for trucks and buses. Furthermore, the adjacent territory has been landscaped, recreation areas and pedestrian paths have been created, and lighting and illumination have been organized using modern materials. -0-
