Vitebskenergo will notify about unscheduled power outages via SMS
– We are already informing domestic consumers about planned work on power grids in test mode. From the new year, we intend to launch such a service for emergency power outages, i.e., if a pole has fallen somewhere, a wire has broken, or a high-voltage cable has been damaged, – said Pavel Kabanov, Head of the Power Grid Service of Vitebskenergo.
The new service will be provided to subscribers free of charge. Currently, Vitebskenergo is compiling a database of mobile phone numbers of subscribers who would like to receive such SMS notifications. This requires written consent, which can be provided at the nearest Energy Sales department, to a branch employee during a subscriber visit, as well as at the enterprise's cash and settlement centers.
