Vitebsk astronomers have compiled a new school textbook on astronomy

Starting from this academic year, Belarusian 11th-graders will have a new textbook, "Astronomy."

The perennial authors of the third edition are Ilarion Galuzo from Vitebsk, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Mathematics Faculty of VSU named after P. Masherov, and senior lecturer of this faculty Vladimir Golubev, as well as Alexander Shimbalev from Minsk, senior lecturer at the Belarusian Pedagogical University named after M. Tank.

Unlike previous editions, the textbook has been supplemented with the latest scientific research results in the field of astronomy, tasks for knowledge assessment have been added for each paragraph, and tables with reference material are provided. "Astronomy" also stands out for its vibrant design and accessible presentation of material. The total print run of the textbook in Russian and Belarusian languages is over 130,000 copies. Workbooks have also been created for it.
