Vitebsk road workers took part in the construction of a customs and logistics terminal in the Pskov region
This year, the staff of OJSC "Road Construction Trust No. 1 of Vitebsk" was involved in two major road projects in the Vitebsk region – the southwestern bypass of Vitebsk and the R-21 Vitebsk–Russian Federation border–Liozno highway. The total length of the commissioned sections is 7.2 kilometers. In addition, the trust completed the capital repair of 23.3 kilometers of roads and carried out current repairs on 30.3 kilometers.
– We also participated in the construction of a customs and logistics terminal on the M-9 "Baltia" highway in the village of Horoshki, Sebezhsky district, Pskov region, – says the company's General Director Alexander Kolkov. – Incidentally, 16.5 percent of the so-called "other orders," which constitute more than 48 percent of our total volume, were completed at facilities in the Russian Federation.
The facility is operational and deserves the highest praise, however, the company considers the final section of the southwestern bypass of Vitebsk – Dymanovo – Starinki – Novka – to be the largest and most significant of the projects completed last year. Connecting the previously built Dymovshchina – Komary and Komary – Novka sections, it links the Polotsk, Minsk, Senno, and Orsha directions, allowing transit traffic to bypass Vitebsk quickly and comfortably without entering the city. The total length of the bypass is over 23 kilometers, and with interchanges, it is 25 kilometers. Drivers rated it "excellent." OJSC "Road Construction Trust No. 1 of Vitebsk" welcomed the New Year with commendable results. Such a successful finish could have been foreseen long before the end of 2012. Revenue from the sale of works and services for January-October amounted to almost 400 billion rubles. Moreover, works performed by our own efforts amounted to 296.3 billion rubles at current prices, which is 8.7 percent more in comparable terms than in the same period of 2011. And this was achieved with a smaller number of employees! The average monthly salary increased 2.4 times. In December, it reached the equivalent of 500 US dollars, as set by the President of the Republic of Belarus for the average worker in the national economy.
