Vitebsk regional "Dazhynki-2016" will be held in Senno on October 8

The regional festival-fair of agricultural workers "Dazhynki-2016" will be held in Senno on October 8, as reported by the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

The celebration will begin with the laying of wreaths and flowers at the monument to the liberator soldiers in the city square. And here, an unusual and new event for the "Dazhynki" program will take place - a theatrical performance "The Origins of the Country's Symbols". This is not accidental, as it is from the Senno district that the craftswoman Matrona Markevich, whose ornament adorns the state flag of Belarus, originates. In addition, nearby, on the site near the district center of culture and folk art, a reconstruction of the costume of the Senno district will be presented. The program of events also includes many other exhibitions: loaves of bread from all regions of the oblast, agricultural machinery. Trade rows, Orthodox and craft courtyards (exhibitions, master classes, presentation of regional dishes, interactive folk dance and song площадки) will be open. Students of educational institutions will delight guests and residents of Senno with their creativity. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have also prepared an exciting program at the demonstration site. Of course, the town itself has been noticeably transformed for the holiday: the facades of houses, children's playgrounds in the courtyards, roads have been updated, and flower arrangements have been laid along the streets. On the day of the festival, new buildings of the sports and recreation complex and the Palace of Ceremonial Rites will open their doors, in front of which the "Newlyweds" fountain will also be unveiled. The district center has also acquired a new park - Three Heroes, where samples of military equipment are now exhibited outdoors. All this splendor can be admired from early morning. But the main celebrations will begin closer to noon.

A festive procession will lead the festival participants to the concert venue on the central square of Senno. Here, the festival opening and the award ceremony for the winners of the regional harvest competition will take place, followed by concert programs, which will conclude with a festive fireworks display.
