Vitebsk pensioners will learn to stay modern

March 1, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Vitebsk pensioners will learn to stay modern. From March 2, the informal education course "Bridge Through Generations" will open for elderly residents of the regional center, Nina Kovpak, chairperson of the UNESCO club "Pradslava," told a BELTA correspondent. The Belarusian Association of UNESCO Clubs, Vitebsk City Library No. 20 named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk, and the UNESCO club "Pradslava" will help venerable citizens keep up with the times for as long as possible and improve their quality of life for free. The training course is designed for four thematic meetings. The first will teach how to establish conflict-free communication with different generations, the second will lay the foundations for communication using the Internet, the third - using foreign languages, and the fourth will help organize and plan their activities. It is the fourth meeting that will become the basis for further communication among the course participants and will help them become organizers of similar courses and interest clubs for elderly people. For example, a pensioner, a former German language teacher, will have no difficulty practicing a foreign language with her elderly friends. An elderly Internet user can teach computer skills to their friend. "It is very important to draw the attention of the course participants to the fact that new opportunities appear in retirement, which must be actively used. This is the main task of the organizers of 'Bridge Through Generations'," believes Nina Kovpak. According to preliminary data, about 15 students are expected to attend the informal education course "Bridge Through Generations." -0-
