Vitebsk producers signed supply agreements with Russians at the forum in Sochi

Vitebsk producers concluded supply agreements worth over 4.3 billion Russian rubles with Russian partners following the Second Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus in Sochi.

Analyzing the Sochi forum, which took place in mid-September, it can be noted that in times of economic crisis, neighbors are ready to help each other, and the opportunity to interact directly at the regional level opens up broad prospects for cooperation. This includes Vitebsk region, as the final figures show. At the forum, among the achievements of Belarusian producers, products from Orsha Linen Mill, Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory, footwear companies "Belvest" and "Marko", Vitebsk Radio Components Plant "Monolit" were presented, which interested the Russian side. Their production technology also impressed. The result is the aforementioned agreements. However, as noted by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Economy Committee, Sviataslau Zarouski, it's not just about product supply contracts; it's very important that the forum helped strengthen business contacts.

– Today, sale and purchase agreements should be accompanied by industrial cooperation between Belarusian and Russian producers, the creation of unified technological chains, including in the production of the most competitive science-intensive products, – believes Sviataslau Anatolievich. – That is precisely why the forum was extremely important in terms of new contacts with representatives of government bodies and companies. This includes remote regions of the Russian Federation, which today appear to us to be very promising: these are new sales markets and new cooperations.
