November 10, Glubokoye district / Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Pedagogical tourism is planned to be developed in the Vitebsk region. Teachers from St. Petersburg have proposed that Vitebsk State University become the organizer of such tours for Russian educators. This was announced today to journalists by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets. He took part in a working meeting on the construction of the "Plissy" health and tourist complex in the Glubokoye district, reports a BELTA correspondent.
Educators from the Russian northern capital participated in one of the scientific conferences held by the Vitebsk university and got acquainted with the work of educational institutions in the region.
According to Alexander Kosinets, the guests were deeply impressed by the organization of the educational process, the system of school and extracurricular work with children, and the technical equipment of the schools themselves. As a result of these industrial excursions, the proposal to organize pedagogical tours with visits to educational institutions and acquaintance with the sights of the Vitebsk region was born.
The head of the education department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Ivan Shchurok, told a BELTA correspondent that the experience of Vitebsk educators is of interest not only to St. Petersburg teachers.
