Vitebsk Bus Depot No. 1 received 8 new MAZ buses
Eight new buses have been purchased for the "Bus Park No. 1 of Vitebsk" branch of JSC "Vitebskoblavtotrans" using budget funds allocated by the regional executive committee.
Gennady Lagun, Deputy Director of the "Bus Park No. 1 of Vitebsk" branch, noted that the new buses were received on time and will be integrated into the transport operations on the newly opened Polotsk overpass, on the reconstructed Gagarin Street, and on the new road in the Bilevo microdistrict. This will improve the quality of passenger transportation.

Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Belous solemnly presented keys to new buses to sixteen drivers, who form 8 crews of the branch of the bus depot. Many of them are veterans of this transport organization, having worked here for over 30 years, awarded with diplomas from the bus depot and Vitebskoblavtotrans, inscribed on the company's Honor Board, their uniforms are adorned with badges for accident-free work of several degrees. They pass on their love for the profession and careful attitude towards technology to the younger generation. A vivid example of continuity is the crew of transport veteran Mikhail Gribanov (31 years of driving experience) and young driver Alexander Zuev, who came to work at the bus depot in 2016. Keys were also presented to three youth crews of drivers who have been working at the bus depot for three to six years and have proven themselves to be technically competent specialists.
– The renewal of the rolling stock is of great importance for Vitebsk, – noted Vladimir Belous. In the first half of this year, city transport carried 16 million passengers, despite the fact that the overall passenger traffic decreased to 77 percent due to the pandemic. The mood and comfort of the city's residents depend on the quality of transport services in the city.
The technical characteristics of the new "MAZ" buses, purchased under the state program for the development of the transport complex of the Republic of Belarus, meet all requirements. The buses are of an improved type, have a large cabin capacity and are easy to maintain. Passengers will be able to ride in them very soon.
