The Vitebsk City Executive Committee summed up the results of the competition for the best workers' and student dormitories and the best organization for working with youth.

For the third consecutive year, the Department for Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, with the aim of intensifying the work of dormitories and organizing useful leisure activities for residents, holds a city review-competition for the best working and student dormitories, and within the framework of implementing youth policy, a competition for the best organization of work with youth at enterprises in organizations and institutions of the city. Winners are awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts.

Following the results of the 2012 competition among dormitories, the winners were: in the nomination "Best dormitory among educational institutions of Vitebsk" - 1st place - dormitory of the Educational Institution "Vitebsk State Vocational Lyceum No. 5 of Instrument Engineering", 2nd place – dormitory of the Vitebsk Branch of the Educational Institution "Higher State College of Communications", 3rd place – dormitory of the Educational Institution "Vitebsk State Vocational Lyceum No. 1 of Mechanical Engineering named after M.F. Shmyrev"; in the nomination "Best dormitory among enterprises and organizations of Vitebsk" - 1st place – dormitory of the Unitary Enterprise "Vitebsk Tram and Trolleybus Administration", 2nd place – dormitory of the Open Joint Stock Company "Vitebskdrev", 3rd place – dormitory of the Open Joint Stock Company "Dolomit".

On youth work organization, the best ones based on the results of 2012 are: 1st place – UP "Vitebsk branch of Belarusian Railway", 2nd place – PU "Vitebskgaz", 3rd place – Pervomaisky (Vitebsk city) department of the Department of Protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
