Vitebsk State College of Culture and Arts celebrates its anniversary
The other day, there will be a wonderful occasion to delve into memories and name those who worked for the benefit of the college – its 45th anniversary. The history of the Vitebsk State College of Culture and Arts began in 1971 as a cultural and educational school. During this time, over 4500 specialists for cultural and art institutions have been trained within its walls in full-time and part-time departments. Today, 234 full-time students and 44 part-time students are studying at the educational institution. Specialists in choreographic art, directing and acting, instrumental and choral music, design, and decorative and applied arts are trained here. Over the past years, both the school and the college have something to be proud of. How can we not recall the consistently high number of "red" diplomas, first and prize-winning places in republican subject olympiads, creative and sports competitions, and participation in regional and republican events?
In different years, teachers who created the historical biography of the educational institution and contributed to the training of professionals in their field have worked and continue to work here. These include the first director Pavel Markovich Agnistenko, Gennady Nikolaevich Berezko, and Tatyana Vladimirovna Tumanova. Since 2005, the college has been headed by Abdullaeva Irina Stanislavovna Abdullaeva, who in 2016 was elected a delegate of the V All-Belarusian People's Assembly from the city of Vitebsk.
The geography of the creative victories of the college students is diverse and rich with vivid impressions and events. The teams of the educational institution have become participants and winners of the Republican Arts Competition "Victoria" – diplomas of I and II degrees, the CIS and Baltic Countries Festival "Belarusian Dance League" – diploma of I degree, the VIII International Competition "Siver-ton" in Chernihiv – diplomas of I and II degrees, the Children and Youth Creativity Festival in Moscow "Northern Round Dance" – Grand Prix, the International Festival of Traditional Masks in Latvia – laureate diploma, and many others.
