Vitebsk State University will cooperate with universities from five countries in the field of educational management
April 7, Vitebsk / Sergey Kotovets - BELTA /. The Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov (VSU) plans to develop cooperation with higher education institutions of five countries to create a multilevel system for training specialists in educational management. This was reported to BELTA correspondent by the university's first vice-rector, Alexander Gladkov, following the visit of the university's delegation to Germany.
The visit of Belarusian specialists took place at the invitation of the university administration of the German city of Hildesheim. During the trip, the university delegation took part in the work of a consortium of universities on the development and discussion of a joint international project "Networking of partner universities in the implementation of a multilevel system for training and professional development of specialists in educational management." In addition to VSU, universities from Germany, Austria, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine are participating in the project development.
According to Alexander Gladkov, the main goal of the project is to develop and implement a training program for specialists in educational management that meets international standards. The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that in the context of innovative development of modern schools and the need to adapt them to functioning in market conditions, the role of management personnel is significantly increasing. This requires educational institution leaders to have high competence in various aspects of management activities. To solve this problem, universities from five countries have decided to join forces and implement an innovative program for training educational managers, taking into account the modern development of management theory and practice.
The consortium of universities offers multilevel training of specialists at the master's and postgraduate levels, as well as professional development for staff. Within the framework of the project, it is necessary to develop common educational modules, as well as to determine individual course programs that each university can offer to future students. Participation in the project by the Vitebsk university will allow Belarusian specialists to use the educational services of European universities, improve the quality of training and student mobility, noted Alexander Gladkov. The project is planned to be implemented within the framework of the European Union program "Tempus".
The delegation of the Vitebsk university also took part in the international congress "Problems of University and School Development in International Discussion: New Opportunities and Risks," held in Hildesheim, Germany, from March 30 to April 2. The event was organized by the International Academy of Education Humanization and was dedicated to discussing problematic issues, new trends, and opportunities for the development of educational systems of various countries in the course of implementing the Bologna Process. -0-
