Vitebsk Silk Fabric Combine has mastered the production of geotextiles, and at OJSC "Vizas" a workshop for the production of bevel gears for the "Gomselmash" production association has been created.

New production in 2012 became possible due to the ongoing modernization and technical re-equipment in the region. Thus, at the "Vistan" plant, production of gearboxes for the "Belarus" tractor was created, an automatic line for the production of insulating glass units was launched at SOOO "OknaInvest", and PO "Energokomplekt" is set to compete in the market for halogen-free flame-retardant power cables. In addition, an Italian drying and dyeing machine was commissioned at OAO "KIM", and a 20,000-ton capacity elevator complex for rapeseed was put into operation at OAO "Vitebsk MEZ". The implementation of a new investment project "Reconstruction of the preparatory and pressing department" has also begun there.
 
In addition, four new manufacturing enterprises have been established in Vitebsk.
They are engaged in the production of mineral water and non-alcoholic beverages, building structures, and kitchen furniture, thereby creating 30 jobs.
