Vitebsk Liqueur and Vodka Plant "Pridvinye" won the Grand Prix of the international tasting competition "Zalaty Kelikh".

Minsk summed up the results of the international tasting competition "Zalaty Kelikh". The Belarusian cognac presented at it was named a breakthrough of the year by the expert jury. The first batches of the two-year-aged drink will go on sale in early 2020.

— Innovative products are presented in almost all nominations at the competition. Among them are Belarusian Geist and fruit vodka. The production of domestic cognac can be called a breakthrough. The product announced at last year's event will go on retail sale in a few months. I emphasize that this drink is literally Belarusian – the raw materials and technologies are local. The production cycle from grape cultivation to bottling takes place in our country. The quality of Belarusian alcoholic and non-alcoholic products was highly appreciated by the expert jury. This is based, in part, on the close interaction between Belarusian science and manufacturers. Next year, we expect to surprise professional tasters with another new product – premium barrel-aged whiskey, — said Alexander Pushkar, Head of the Technology Department for Alcoholic and Non-alcoholic Products of the Scientific and Practical Center for Foodstuffs of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The jury of the second international tasting competition "Zalaty Kelikh" included recognized domestic and foreign experts from the winemaking industry. Specialists noted the high level of organization of the event, the excellent quality of Belarusian products, and the original approach to their design. Among the participants were Belarus, Italy, China, Georgia, and Moldova.

Vitebsk Distillery "Pridvinye" OJSC received a special award – the Grand Prix "Zalaty Kelikh" and two gold medals.
