Vitebsk Liqueur and Vodka Plant to Start Bottling Mineral Water in March

Mineral water from the enterprise's own well, over 360 m deep, will be produced in two varieties - "Pridvinye-1" and "Pridvinye-2", which differ in their degree of mineralization. The plant plans to bottle 40 thousand decaliters of products annually. The first batch of mineral water will enter the retail network at the end of March - beginning of April. Initially, it will be packaged in 1.5-liter PET bottles, and in the future, in 0.5-liter and 2-liter bottles. Vitebsk Distillery invested over Br1 billion in the creation of non-alcoholic production in 2008-2009. The production of beverages with various flavors under the name "Pridvinye" has already been mastered. The production of mineral water became the second step in this direction. In 2009, the enterprise produced products worth Br50.4 billion, which amounted to 114% compared to the 2008 level. Consumer goods worth Br51.4 billion were produced (113.5% respectively). The output of vodka and alcoholic beverages amounted to about 1.5 million decaliters (107% compared to the 2008 level), rectified spirit - 612 thousand decaliters (107.2%), cognac - 13 thousand decaliters, non-alcoholic beverages - 29 thousand decaliters. Investments in fixed assets amounted to Br3.8 billion. Products were supplied to 10 countries (including Russia, Abkhazia, Latvia, Estonia, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria, Germany, Armenia, China). Export growth was 114.6% compared to the 2008 level. Vitebsk Distillery was founded in 1898. The range of alcoholic products manufactured includes approximately 50 items.
