Vitebsk Oil Extraction Plant Procured Over 100 Thousand Tons of Rapeseed

According to the Director of JSC "Vitebsk Oil Extraction Plant" Sergey Bahankevich, more than 100 thousand tons of oilseeds were procured this season, including 65 thousand tons to be supplied under state orders. This is quite enough for stable round-the-clock operation. Currently, approximately two-thirds of our products are exported through the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, and the rest are for the domestic market.

This year, as the head notes, the motivation for farmers engaged in rapeseed cultivation has been significantly strengthened at the state level. Purchase prices for seeds immediately increased by about 50 percent, making cultivation of the crop even more economically attractive.

For the next two years, the Oil Extraction Plant has developed a large-scale equipment upgrade program, which will allow for a significant increase in production volumes and improve quality in the future.

About 10 million rubles will be allocated for the modernization of the main production. It will be carried out in stages, so there will be no problems in the continuous work process. We invest funds in the main base annually, which helps maintain competitiveness in the market.
