The Vitebsk Regional Children's Clinical Center will start operating from January 1

Витебский областной детский клинический центр начнет функционировать с 1 января

The new integrated structure is designed to improve the accessibility and quality of medical and diagnostic care provided to children, including through more effective use of modern high-tech medical equipment.

As reported to "Vitebskiye Vesti" by the chief physician of the city central children's polyclinic, Galina Puzanova, the clinical center is being created on the basis of the central polyclinic and the regional children's hospital. One of the tasks facing the staff of the new structure is to increase the accessibility of highly specialized medical care. Until recently, it was necessary to contact republican scientific and practical centers in Minsk for this, but now it will also be provided in Vitebsk. "We have everything necessary for this – specialists, equipment, methodological support", – Galina Puzanova is confident.

The medical institution will receive additional resources to improve its equipment thanks to its participation in the charity event “McHappy Day”, organized by the corporation “McDonald’s”. Throughout November, visitors to the chain's restaurants can purchase inexpensive, attractive souvenirs, all proceeds from their sale will go to the fund of the international event, as will the money from the sale of french fries on November 20. In the first two weeks, more than half of the souvenirs (over 77 thousand units) have already been sold. “Every fifth guest of the restaurants participates in the event, which indicates the growing popularity of the charity initiative of “McDonald’s” and the trust of our visitors”, – reported Victoria Danko, director of the foreign enterprise “KSB Victory Restaurants”.

According to Galina Puzanova, the collected funds are planned to be used for the purchase of rehabilitation equipment for the early intervention department, which will subsequently increase the volume of specialized care for children with cerebral palsy, as well as patients who have undergone oncological and rare diseases.

Today, the entire child population of the regional center, which is more than 75 thousand people under the age of 18, is under the supervision of the city central children's polyclinic and its branches.
