Vitebsk Regional Cardiology Dispensary is testing a new service «Cardiopackage»
This was announced by acting chief physician Elena Kuznetsova during a press conference dedicated to the nationwide campaign "Healthy Heart – Vector of Life," which will take place in the Vitebsk region on November 12-13.
The essence of the service is that for one bed-day, a patient can undergo examination using all diagnostic methods available at the dispensary and receive appropriate recommendations. Currently, the institution offers two types of such complexes, which differ in the scope of examination.
Another cardio package is currently being formed, designed for a five-day stay and including medication, physiotherapy, water massage, psychological counseling, etc.
Since September, about 20 people have used the service, half of whom are foreign citizens, namely Russians. As medics note, the innovation has generated the greatest interest among people aged 35-55, who find it more convenient to dedicate one day to examination rather than spending time at polyclinics. It is noteworthy that almost all applicants were found to have one cardiovascular disease or another, mainly arterial hypertension.
Cardiologists once again draw attention to the need for timely diagnosis and examination to avoid cardiac catastrophes. The aforementioned medical and educational campaign also serves preventive purposes. During its two-day duration, blood pressure measurement points will operate throughout the region from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, where one can not only find out their blood pressure level but also receive participant coupons.
In Vitebsk, the points will traditionally be located at the Main Post Office, in the "Evikom" shopping center, pharmacies No. 31, 128, 164, 171, the "Vesta" store in Ruba, at the health centers of individual large enterprises, and in polyclinics. Residents of the periphery will also be able to participate in the campaign by visiting local polyclinics, district hospitals, outpatient clinics, FAPs, pharmacies, and shopping centers. With the help of the obtained coupons, one can get a consultation with cardiologists and therapists of the regional cardiodispenser and outpatient polyclinic institutions of the region.
Those who cannot come to the doctor in person will be able to ask questions to a specialist on the "hotline" of the regional cardiodispenser from 10:00 to 18:00 by phone: 8(0212) 52-69-27.
