The Vitebsk Regional Clinical Specialized Center has begun operations in the modernized building of the former city hospital

Specialists of the center's leading departments – coloproctology, gastroenterology, surgery, and cardiology – have received excellent conditions for further successful work after the major renovation and modernization of the building at M. Gorky St., 90a. The most modern equipment has been installed here: a Belarusian-made computer tomograph, a mobile X-ray machine, a surgical laser apparatus, a video endoscopic complex for gastroscopy and colonoscopy, laparoscopic systems, and other modern medical equipment have been purchased. The center is designed for 206 beds.

Comfort has also been created for patients: the bright, cozy wards – 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-bed – equipped with bathrooms and showers are impressive. The dining rooms, staff rooms, and corridors are beautifully furnished. An accessible environment for people with disabilities and physically weakened individuals has been equipped on the center's territory.

The new conditions will allow not only the successful implementation of advanced technologies in patient treatment but also the continuation of research activities on specialized pathologies. For 10 years, four regional scientific and practical centers have been operating in this healthcare institution – phlebological, pelvic surgery, coloproctological, and gastroenterological. Young specialists and interns are involved not only in practical medicine but also in science.

Over 32 million rubles from the regional and city budgets, the Ministry of Health, and funds from the Development Bank were allocated for the reconstruction of the building and the strengthening of the material and technical base of the Vitebsk Specialized Center. Of this amount, over 9.5 million rubles were allocated for equipping the institution.
