The Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies and the Regional Executive Committee received a Letter of Commendation in the nomination «Best Lawmaking Body» of the Ministry of Justice competition
As reported by Oliy Charieva, Head of the Department of the Main Directorate of Justice of the Regional Executive Committee, the competition was held for the first time, and it is all the more pleasant to receive such a high award among 52 participants. The Regional Executive Committee and the Regional Council of Deputies were selected as nominees by the ministerial expert commission.
– This award is a recognition of our work, – noted Oliy Kholmurzayevna. – Law-making activity is one of the most important functions of the Ministry of Justice, and mandatory legal expertise is among its areas. Working with documents is meticulous, to some extent monotonous, not eye-catching, but very important and necessary.
An Honorable Mention is an award for professional merits of a large group of people, emphasized Oliy Charieva. Experts highly appreciated the responsible attitude to work, competence, literacy of the specialists of the Regional Council of Deputies and the Regional Executive Committee, as well as the compliance of the normative legal acts drafted by them with the established criteria.

The competition was established by the Ministry of Justice in 2019 in order to improve the quality of drafting normative legal acts, as well as to encourage and professionally stimulate law-making bodies and employees carrying out mandatory legal expertise.
