The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the administration of the Pskov region intend to initiate the creation of a common historical, cultural and tourist zone in the border areas. This was announced today at a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee by its chairman Alexander Kosinets, reports BELTA correspondent. In accordance with the agreements reached during the meetings between the governor of the Pskov region and the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, it was decided to include Verkhnedvinsk, Osveya, and Sebezh in this zone. There are specially protected natural areas here, many historical monuments that are of interest to tourists. According to Alexander Kosinets, financial support for this project may be provided from the budget of the Union State.-0-
