The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the German company "Lingl" will sign an agreement at the Belarusian Investment Forum

October 18, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the German company "Lingl" intend to sign an agreement on the construction of a plant for the production of ceramic wall materials at the Belarusian Investment Forum in Frankfurt am Main. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Konstantin Cherny, Deputy Chairman of the Economics Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. It is planned to create a new enterprise on the basis of OJSC "Obolsky Ceramic Plant". Its design capacity provides for the production of 75 million units of conventional building bricks. The porous ceramic blocks planned for production will have a lower weight compared to ordinary ceramic building materials and higher heat-insulating properties, similar in thermal conductivity to wood and cellular concrete. Marketing research has shown that this type of product is in demand in both domestic and foreign markets. The total investment in the project will exceed Br70 billion. At the Belarusian Investment Forum, the Vitebsk region will present two more projects, which potential partners will be able to learn about during the session "New opportunities for infrastructure development within the framework of the Customs Union of the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan". One project was developed by the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant and involves the creation of a multimodal logistics center on the basis of the enterprise, the second provides for the construction of a public transport and logistics center in the area of Vostochny Airport in Vitebsk. The Belarusian Investment Forum, as part of the European Financial Week, will be held on November 17 in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). The format of the event is expected to be similar to the London Investment Forum 2008 and last year's Belarusian Investment and Economic Forum. Frankfurt am Main is one of the financial centers of Western Europe. It is expected that holding the Belarusian Investment Forum during the European Financial Week will ensure interest in the Belarusian economy, primarily from international financial institutions. The forum will feature industry sessions on banking, innovation, and logistics. A separate block will be dedicated to the Customs Union. -0-
