This was stated today by the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Oleg Matskevich at the III International Economic Forum "Your Business", which is taking place in Vitebsk, according to a BELTA correspondent. In modern conditions, the focus is not only on ensuring the sustainable growth in the number of small enterprises but also on expanding the range of measures to improve their performance, increase the volume and quality of products and services of private business, and increase its share in gross domestic product, Oleg Matskevich emphasized. The Regional Executive Committee will always pay attention to the development of entrepreneurship as the main factor in forming the middle class, which is a guarantor of the region's economic development. And in this regard, it is important to continue creating a favorable external environment for the activities of entrepreneurs, he added. One of the measures to support entrepreneurship is the holding of the international economic forum "Your Business", which has become a platform for business communication for businessmen, where modern technologies for organizing and conducting business, and promising solutions in management and marketing are presented. For the first time, a subcontracting exchange was organized, in which more than 10 large enterprises from the region and Minsk took part with ready-made proposals for small businesses to develop cooperative ties. Another novelty of the forum was the business ideas exchange, where presentations of marketing research of the resource potential and promising directions for business development in the rural areas of the Vitebsk region, investment proposals of the regions, as well as property complexes, real estate objects, and ready-made businesses planned for sale in the region took place. Traditionally, at the exhibition, economic entities presented their products and solutions for a wide range of business services at a specialized exhibition. The educational program of the forum includes four seminars on business fundamentals and entrepreneurship support, modern marketing and management technologies, and the use of information technologies to enhance competitive advantages in a market economy. Participants included not only novice entrepreneurs and experienced businessmen but also representatives of well-known enterprises, consulting and law firms, higher education institutions, and business associations. This year, representatives of diplomatic missions and business structures from Germany, Slovakia, Russia, and Ukraine showed interest in the event.
