Vitebsk Regional Council transferred real estate to a private enterprise for an investment project free of charge for the first time

June 10, Vitebsk / Sergey Kotovets - BELTA /. The Vitebsk Regional Council at its session today decided to gratuitously transfer communal real estate to the ownership of a private enterprise for the implementation of an investment project with an investment volume of Br4.5 billion, a BELTA correspondent reports. The private unitary enterprise "Vitstroytekmash" plans to create a production of lifting and transport mechanisms and special equipment on the provided site. A complex of production and auxiliary real estate facilities with an estimated value of about Br327 million, which has not been used since 2005, has been transferred to the ownership of the domestic investor. Such a transaction is carried out for the first time in the Vitebsk region under the new conditions of economic liberalization, specialists from the "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" fund noted. In accordance with Decree No. 10 "On creating additional conditions for investment activities in the Republic of Belarus," an investment agreement has been concluded between the Vitebsk region and "Vitstroytekmash". The investment project provides for the construction of a production complex, a number of auxiliary buildings, as well as the acquisition of technological equipment. This will allow the private enterprise to move from servicing crane trucks to their production based on vehicles manufactured in Belarus, in particular, based on MAZ chassis. The project will be included in the regional import substitution program, and also provides for the creation of more than 100 jobs. In addition, the enterprise plans to open a training center at its base for training citizens in working specialties related to the maintenance of automotive equipment. It is assumed that up to 70 people will be trained at the center simultaneously, including those referred by the state employment service. According to preliminary estimates, by 2013, upon reaching full capacity, the annual production volume, including the provision of production services, will amount to about Br12 billion, and the amount of taxes and other payments to the budget will be about Br3 billion. The gratuitous transfer of unused real estate will allow the investor to reduce financial costs and time for project implementation. The private production and trade unitary enterprise "Vitstroytekmash" was established in 2004. The enterprise specializes in the technical maintenance and repair of all types of crane trucks and aerial platforms, the manufacture of critical metal structures and components, and the production of construction equipment. "Vitstroytekmash" also organized training for citizens at its base (up to 20 people simultaneously) in the specialties of "auto mechanic," "fitter," "auto electrician," "rigger," "mechanic," and others. The number of employees at the enterprise exceeds 100 people. -0-
