Vitebsk Autumn Investment Forum Attracted the Attention of Russian Aviators

October 14, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Russian aviators have shown interest in the autumn investment forum, which will open in Vitebsk on October 15, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Economy Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. They were attracted by the proposals of the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant and Vitebsk Airport for the creation of logistics centers and the development of new types of production activities. However, the interest of Russian business in the Vitebsk forum is not limited to aviation and transport. The delegation includes heads of the "Detskoselsky" concern, which is already implementing several investment projects in the region's agricultural sector. Among the businessmen are also representatives of oil refining companies, and officials from the administrations of districts and cities of Moscow responsible for consumer market issues. A representative delegation from the Lodz Voivodeship (Poland) has arrived at the Vitebsk forum. It includes founders of four large companies. The embassies of Hungary and Slovakia have also shown interest in the forum. The delegation of the Latgale Self-Government (Latvia) will discuss the joint participation of local governments and businesses of the Dvina region in the new EU program "Lithuania-Latvia-Belarus". About 100 investment projects will be presented to the guests. A significant part of them is related to the creation of production facilities for processing local raw materials such as wood, dolomite, clay, and peat. The districts of the region have developed several business proposals for the development of roadside services and tourist infrastructure. The central event of the business meeting will be the "Vitebsk Linen" exhibition-fair-show. It will feature collections of linen products, demonstrate modern technologies for flax production and processing, and garment manufacturing. For the first time, Belarusian silk will be so widely advertised to the guests and participants of the forum, the interlocutors emphasized. In addition to the exhibition and presentation of investment proposals, businessmen will be able to get acquainted with the region's enterprises and see the sites intended for the implementation of business proposals. The investment forum will conclude on October 16. This year, two investment forums have already been held in the region, in March and July. The most significant projects for the region were presented at these forums, and agreements totaling over $350 million were concluded.
