Vitebsk fruit and vegetable processing plant will master the production of heat-stable filling in 2013
Open Joint Stock Company "Vitebsk Fruit and Vegetable Processing Plant" plans to master the production of thermostable fillings for confectionery industry enterprises in 2013, the general director of the enterprise Rostislav Goshko told a BELTA correspondent.
The cost of the project is 800 thousand euros. Its implementation has already begun. In particular, a tender has been held, and an Italian enterprise has been identified as the manufacturer-supplier of the necessary technological equipment. "Innovative import-substituting products with high added value, in demand by all confectionery industry enterprises, will be produced on it," Rostislav Goshko emphasized.
Among other novelties of 2013 of a similar nature are also children's teas from herbal infusions. The enterprise intends to produce infusions from fennel, chamomile, dill, and other herbs beneficial for babies. "I am sure that this product will be to the liking and will definitely be in demand by their parents," the general director noted, adding that Vitebsk Fruit and Vegetable Processing Plant had foreseen the possibility of producing teas in advance during the reconstruction of the baby food production workshop with the retrofitting of new equipment. Thus, tanks for the production of herbal infusions with a total single storage capacity of 4.5 tons were installed.
In January-October, the plant produced products worth about Br40 billion. Over 1 thousand tons of fruit and vegetable baby food (127% of the same level last year) and about 2.2 thousand tons of general-purpose canned goods (corresponding to the 2011 level) were produced. Products worth almost $300 thousand were supplied to Russia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan. The material intensity indicator for 10 months was minus 2%, energy saving - minus 6%. Sales profitability reached 21%.
Vitebsk Fruit and Vegetable Processing Plant was corporatized in 2008. The assortment includes over 100 types of canned goods. Currently, the enterprise's capacity for processing raw materials (meat, vegetables, and fish) per shift is 750 kg each. The enterprise also includes the agricultural enterprise "Radunskoye," which is the plant's own raw material base.
